In the ANCHOR study, of the 2,227 participants randomized ot the treatment group, the vast majority (83.6%) received office-based electrocautery ablation, primarily hyfecation as their initial treatment. The remaining participants received other protocol-defined treatment methods including: infrared coagulation- 4.8%, topic 5-fluorouracil- 4.5%, ablation (electocautery) or excision under anesthesia- 2.3%, topical imiquimod 0.5%, more than one method was used in 2.1%. at there initial visit. 86.3% of participants received one method of treatment over the course of the study and the rest utilized multiple treatment methods but none included laser. There are no studies to date that I can find, that look at laser as a treatment method in treating anal HSIL.
