This is an interesting question. We do know that there is higher risk of anal/perianal HSIL and cancer in patients with a history of vaginal/vulvar HSIL, but to my knowledge the opposite is not been well documented. Some providers will refer women with a history of anal and/or perianal HSIL for vaginal and vulvar colposcopy, but there are no firm guidelines around this.
